What does this guided tour of the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia consist of

The City of Arts and Sciences is a leisure and cultural center that surprises with its architecture and its immense capacity to entertain, teach, and excite.

It is one of the most significant cultural dissemination centers in Europe.

It is one of the largest cultural dissemination centers in Europe

The City of Arts and Sciences is located at the end of the old Turia Riverbed in a modern leisure and business area with large shopping centers, restaurants, offices, etc.

As it is located at the end of the gardens, after visiting the City of Arts and Sciences, Valencians take the opportunity to walk with family, as a couple, or with friends.

It’s the perfect excuse to spend one of the more than three hundred sunny days we have in Valencia each year. These days allow us to enjoy mild and warm temperatures in summer, making Valencia an ideal area for sports as well.

Two Spanish architects of great international prestige completed this great project in 2009: Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela.

Visiting the City of Arts and Sciences is synonymous with fun, knowledge, culture, and diversity, as there are several buildings with their personality that we will visit on this guided tour:

  • L’Umbracle is a landscaped area with over 50 local floral species covered by marquees. It houses the sculpture walk and overlooks the rest of the complex.
  • The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía is a surprising and majestic building of more than 40,000 m2 with four rooms for opera performances, dance shows, concerts, and musicals.
  • The Prince Felipe Science Museum is the world’s first interactive science museum of the 21st century. A multi-story space surrounded by water sheets where you can learn firsthand about the evolution of humanity, science, and technology.
  • L’Hemisfèric represents the human eye. It covers an area of 26,000 m2 and houses a semi-spherical room with a dome to offer panoramic IMAX projections on a concave screen of 900 m2. The films with different themes change periodically, and you can choose from several adapted to different profiles.
  • L’Oceanogràfic is the largest aquarium in Europe, where 45,000 animals of more than 500 different species live. In the various climates and marine ecosystems of the planet – oceans, Mediterranean, marshes, tropical, Arctic, Antarctic, dolphinarium, and Red Sea – the group can visit penguins, walruses, belugas, birds, dolphins, an infinity of fish, jellyfish, and sharks through a cylindrical channel surrounded by water.
  • CaixaForum is a multifunctional space designed to host events of all kinds, such as exhibitions, workshops, conferences, screenings, or concerts.
  • The Assut d’Or Bridge, better known as the «ham holder,» whose mast, at its highest point, is the highest point in the city at 127 meters.

Its futuristic design and appearance have attracted the interest of different companies that shoot both commercials and films. It is considered one of the world’s most important and spectacular constructions

Therefore, this guided tour of the City of Arts and Sciences represents a cultural and futuristic immersion that the group will enjoy from the first moment.
